For Be'er Sheva and The Negev
A spiritual and social center for the local community
About Us
The “For Be’er Sheva and The Negev” association operates a community center in Be’er Sheva, including a synagogue, hall, and classrooms, serving as a spiritual and social hub. This center offers prayer, study, and a Beit Midrash for all ages to deepen their connection to Jewish heritage.
Community events, like religious conventions and celebrations, foster local bonds. The association also supports Ethiopian residents with free circumcision ceremonies and distributes food baskets to those in need. During the October 7th war, the center prepared thousands of sandwiches for IDF soldiers.
Educationally, it provides Bar Mitzvah classes, including for special education, and recently launched an academy to tutor students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

PROJECT
The Academy for Excellence in Education
The Association for Be’er Sheva and the Negev has launched a free educational program to support elementary students from disadvantaged families struggling with core subjects like math and Hebrew.
Offered twice weekly, the program provides tailored instruction by experienced, compassionate educators who also offer emotional support.
The Academy for Excellence in Education, founded during the “Iron Swords” war, honors Moshe Ochayon and his son Elad, heroes from Ofakim, as an inspirational legacy for students to pursue their potential and dreams.
"In every community, there is work to be done. In every nation, there are wounds to heal. In every heart, there is the power to do it"
– Marianne Williamson

PROJECT
The Bar Mitzvah Academy
Dvir Delouya, a native of Be’er Sheva, built his educational foundation at Rabin High School and later pursued education studies at Hemdat HaDarom College.
After completing military service, he founded the Bar Mitzvah Academy, Israel’s first institution dedicated to preparing boys for their Bar Mitzvah. The academy combines Jewish tradition with modern teaching methods, offering a meaningful transition into the Jewish adult community.
“If you haven’t studied at the Bar Mitzvah Academy, you haven’t truly prepared for your Bar Mitzvah.”
Our Projects

Academy for Excellence in Education
Founded under the auspices of the Support Beer Sheva and the Negev (NGO), our Academy is dedicated to providing critical educational support to elementary school students from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Academy was established during the “Iron Swords” war and is dedicated to the memory of Moshe Ochayon and his son Elad, heroic residents of Ofakim who sacrificed their lives saving others during the October 7th conflict.
